Tilden Regional Park, Berkeley CA

Since Detroit didn't have school and Grandpa didn't have work, we decided to go to Tilden Regional Park in Berkeley. It was wonderful. Our first stop was the miniature steam engine, which you can ride through part of the park. Detroit really enjoyed it and Joaquin did not move the entire ride.

Next, we went over to the Little Farm and got to feed cows, pigs, goats and sheep. This was Detroit's all time favorite event of the day. I think she had named every animal there by the time we left.

You're really lucky to be close enough to your parents to spend times like this with them. Joaquin may not remember when he gets older but Detroit certainly will and I'm sure she'll have many fond memories of time spent with her Grandma and Grandpa!
