Time flew by while we were hanging out in Roswell, and I suddenly realized my son is now 10 months old. Detroit pointed out that in two months he will be one! I truly cannot believe how fast the past month went by.
Joaquin is still an absolute joy - even with the teething thing. (We are still waiting for that second bottom tooth to come through the gums.) He is one smiley kid. He just smiles all the time. He loves hanging out with his daddy and his sister. They are about the only two people who can consistently get him to laugh. He has just started giving kisses...adorable, open-mouthed kisses. He also really enjoys pat-a-cake and the Itsy Bitsy Spider. He lights up whenever we do either one.
Joaquin is still working on the traditional crawl, but he gets around fairly well. (I still haven't figured out exactly how, but I guess whatever works.) He still doesn't know how to catch himself when he does tumble and since he won't sit still, it happens occasionally. This past week we noticed that he tried to pull himself up to a standing position. He is still not doing our signs for "more" and "kitty," but he sure likes when we do them. He prefers to squeal instead. Maybe one of these days he will catch on...and maybe one of these days he will stop waking up 500 times during the night. I can't wait to see what the next month brings!
