Before and After

We bought a cute little house in Roswell that has three bedrooms, one bathroom and a what used to be a really small/unfunctional kitchen. (By the way, we bought the house fully furnished so none of the stuff in the "first" kitchen was ours.)

Here is what the kitchen looked like:

(This is it! That is all there was to the kitchen.)

(Notice how close our fridge and back door are!)

...And here is our NEW kitchen!!! Hooray!!

complete with a pantry (built into the entry way)

...and a butcher block island (w/wheels)!!!

To get our new kitchen, we (by we I mean Don our contractor) had to tear out the wall seperating the dining area and the kitchen. Also, the back wall of our house had to be torn out and replaced. It was quite a project and Don did a fantastic job!

*I will post more pictures of the rest of our house soon.

Best Friends

Since we had to go to San Diego to get all of our stuff out of storage, we decided to stay a few days and visit friends. Detroit's most exciting day was when she got to go to school with her best friend, Isabella. She was so excited to be an honorary student at Vista La Mesa (her old school). Of course, she and Bella had to wear Best Friends t-shirts! It was a really special day for Detroit and Bella.

The hardest part of the whole weekend, was saying goodbye to my parents. My mom and I were inseperable for 10 months and it was hard to leave them. I will forever be glad for the time we were able to spend with them!

Jazzercise Friends

Joaquin LOVED his babysitter, Sudah. He was with her from the time he was 3 months old; four mornings a week. We were so lucky to have her at Jazzercise!

Detroit's Open House/ Last Day of School

May 22nd was Detroit's Open House, and also her last day of school before the move to Roswell. Here she is with her 2nd grade teacher, Mr. Miller.

The kids sang a cute song and each held up signs of what they wanted to be when they grow up. She couldn't decide whether she wanted to be a zookeeper or a veteranarian...so why not be a zoo vet?

Joaquin Loves Drawers (pre-move)

While I was busy packing I realized that Joaquin was being awfully quiet. I discovered him in the bathroom, sitting in one of the drawers.
